PRP (Paratelet Rich Plasma) Hair Treatment
PRP injection therapy is performed after obtaining a small amount of the patient’s own blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelet portion. After anesthetizing the scalp, the PRP is injected into the thinning area(s). Injections are performed every 3-6 months, with some improvement usually being noted during that time frame.
In addition to it being used as a stand-along treatment, the use of PRP with a hair transplant has shown several possible advantages: as a graft storage solution to enhance the percentage take of the grafts, applied to the donor site it seems to speed up and improves healing; injected into the scalp at the time of a transplant it enhance healing.
Mesotherapy is a non-invasive technique based on superficial microinjections, just below the epidermis, into the target tissues.
The treatment itself takes between 10 and 30 minutes depending on the extension of the area being treated.
Usually a minimum of 10 sessions is required to stimulate hair growth. We recommend starting with an intensive course of treatments every 2 weeks for the first 2-3 months. The frequency then gradually decreases and the results of hair rejuvenation become evident already after 2-3 months. In order to keep the results maintenance treatments are needed generally once every 2 to 3 months. There is no dressing or local anesthesia required. After the treatment you can just go back to work.
